Making slime at home: what is it for?

Before starting it is good to ask yourself this question: to make the slime yourself what is needed? The ingredients more or less common to all recipes are:

  • Vinyl glue, white or transparent, non-toxic
  • Activators which make the glue elastic: detergent for the laundry, bicarbonate and liquid for contact lenses or starch of corn
  • Extra elements: dyes food, baby oil to give shine, soap to perfume it, foam shaving if you want a “fluffy” slime, glitter and glitter (the choice is yours)

1. Making slime at home

  • 150 ml of glue vinyl (white or transparent depending on the final effect you want for your slime)
  • 70 g of talcum powder and dye

2. Making slime at home: with starch and water

This recipe involves the use of solos two ingredients, starch (or cornstarch) and hot water, without vinyl glue. Here are the doses:

  • 140 g of cornstarch or cornstarch
  • 250 ml of hot water

Replace to water 500 ml of seed oil and reduce the starch doses (only 90 g) and let the mixture rest in the fridge for half an hour. Kids will love this version because as soon as you move the substance away or near an electrostatic object it will come to life.

3. Make the slime yourself: with toothpaste

This is one super fast recipe which is achieved with the use of soap or, better, shampoo is toothpaste. To get the slime to take on the right consistency, use a thicker shampoo and gel toothpaste. In equal doses, mix them in a bowl with a spoon until a fairly homogeneous substance is obtained. Put it away in the freezer for 10 minutes checking from time to time to make sure it does not harden. Et voila, the slime is ready.

4. Making your own slime: scented slime

As anticipated, if you want yours slime both elastic but also scented just use some soap. Here’s what you need:

  • 100 g of flakes of soap
  • 500 ml liter of hot water
  • 50 g of starch
  • Dye food

  • 100 g of glue vinyl
  • 20 ml of liquid for lenses
  • 50 ml of water
  • 1 Teaspoon of bicarbonate
  • Glitter and food coloring

First of all, united the ingredients in this order: glue, solution lenses, dye. Mix and united the bicarbonate until the elastic consistency is obtained. Finally, away of glitter!

6. Making your own slime: super soft slime

  • 450 ml of milk condensed
  • 20 g of starch of corn
  • Dye food
