This house It has little or nothing to do with the apartment that the team from Con mucho gusto by Jessica Zueras found. Its owners, a married couple with two daughters, They entrusted this interior design studio with the comprehensive reform of their house.
The apartment was divided into infinite rooms with corridors that wasted the meters. The objective was to create a comfortable day area to share moments with family or friends, and another at night. In addition to spaciousness, it was necessary to enhance the luminosity, which conditioned the choice of materials and coatings. We opted for a background with white walls that, in certain rooms, alternated with painted and tiled fronts, and a light wooden platform was placed on the floor.

DAY AREA. The hall was dispensed with to give its meters to the living room, so that now the house opens directly to a large social area, with a living room and a dining room. The kitchen is another of the family’s favorite spaces to gather. So, a large room was designed with a peninsula that organizes the space and creates two independent areas: one for work and cooking, in the shape of a “U”, and another for the dining room.
The reform of this house allowed us to gain a spacious and comfortable living room, where the family shares many moments.
NIGHT AREA. In the private area are the bedrooms that, by pulling partitions and shortening corridors, also gained useful meters. Still, to optimize space, they were decorated with custom furniture and storage solutions. The two bathrooms in the house have been completely renovated.
Take a look at all the photos of the house.
As a hall …
U-shaped kitchen
A peninsula allows the kitchen proper to be separated from the dining area.
The bench, leaning against the wall, was completed with several cushions on the backrest.
The use of different coatings on the walls contributes to visually delimit the environments.
The living room is the meeting place
A rug, in the same colors as the decoration, frames the living area.
A fresh and youthful bedroom
The youth room was decorated with custom furniture to make the space profitable and gain storage. The wall of the window was used with a board, which goes from side to side and acts as a headboard.
The rest and study areas were arranged in an “L” to have free space.
Different shades of green and touches of pink through details and textile accessories, stand out from the dominant white.
The master bedroom, the same line
In the master bedroom, a visual continuity is maintained with the rest of the house, not only chromatic, but also materials.
The master bedroom has built in wardrobes on two walls. To lighten their visual weight, the doors were chosen in white, without handles and with wooden profiles that add a touch of style.
