12 Tips for renovating your home

The right brush

Just as important as choosing the right paint is choosing the right brush for the job. Its size is measured in millimeters or inches (1 inch equals 25 mm). It uses 1″ for small surfaces (grilles, moldings, frames), 2″ and 3″ for medium parts (doors, windows, furniture…) and 4″ to 8″ for large surfaces (floors and walls). In this case, you can also opt for rollers and guns. As for the bristles: the synthetic ones are, nowadays, as effective as the natural ones. Especially in water-based paints, such as this matt emulsion, ideal for walls and ceilings, by Laura Ashley (100 euros/jart of 5 l).
