While it’s nothing new, the DIY with pallets are in style; and no wonder. This is a very versatile material that can be used for all types of furniture, now also for vertical gardens.

Palletized flowerpots

A laborious but really nice option is to take pallets and place wooden planters in front of them. These planters can be bought ready-made, if we find them and they fit the measurements, or they can be made with more pallets. The second option allows us to have continuity in the design, because we use the same wood and therefore it works better decoratively.

Use of pallet spaces

As we know, pallets have certain gaps. These are ideal for placing pots inside. The result, as we can see, is much more eye-catching than the previous option, as you avoid placing flowerpots and the plants seem to emerge naturally through the wood. Now, to water them might be a little uncomfortable. You can always put in a home drip system, though.

Coloured pots

Do you like small pots, those traditional clay pots of all colors, and you don’t want to give them up? No problem. You can also anchor them to the surface of the pallet creating a beautiful mosaic of flowers that you can place both outside and inside. In addition, some models can incorporate wheels at the bottom of the frame, so moving them will not be a problem for anyone. If you prefer, you can also leave it leaning against a wall.

A good aromatic garden

Cultivate aromatic plants for our consumption is an excellent choice. You won’t need to buy any more oregano, parsley or laurel. Now you can have your own edible plants at home. You can use pallets for this DIY. Follow the previous system to plant your aromatic plants in the hole of the same, but this time, to differentiate them well, you can paint the outside with slate paint and so identify each of them with chalk. Slate painting is not much more expensive than others. With that and a few pieces of chalk you’ll have a aromatic vertical garden of the most fun.
