East small 30 square meter apartment in St. Petersburg It was baptized by the interior designer Sveta Melnikova as “café con leche” (when you see the color range of the rooms, you will understand). Its owners acquired it with the objective of renting it, so it was essential to carry out a decoration project that would make it attractive. Despite its small size and the fact that it only has one window, the house was distributed in a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and desk, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The color, in a beautiful range of earth tones, is present in the decoration, in the fabrics, in the plants and in the paintings placed on the sofa.
Plaster dominates ceilings and walls. In fact, the walls were left especially rough, as this gives them volume and creates a special atmosphere.
Wood is the other main material in the project.
In the bedroom, the window with wooden slats create beautiful shadows with different lights on the walls, while the rattan pendant lamp from Indonesia gives a special charm to the area.
To enhance the volume of the bath, various materials were used. One of the walls was kept in concrete, and the others were finished with ceramic granite. Highlight the floor-to-ceiling mirror cabinet that hides the washing machine.
