Settled in Madrid, but with a love for the Cantabrian coast, the couple who bought this small apartment in the beautiful coastal town of Comillas, wanted to use it to spend the weekends and rent it out when they were away.
Although the house was in very good condition, it needed to be adapted to the holiday rental and the tastes and needs of its owners.
The objective: a facelift and interior design that highlights the original woodwork and shutters of the house, creating comfortable and stylish spaces, comfortable for guests, but also easy to clean and maintain.
For the walls, a broken white with toasted shades was chosenDoors and skirting boards were lacquered, highlighting the woodwork that adds character to the rooms and played an important role in the choice of furniture.
The careful distribution, together with the furniture and the lighting, generate pleasant atmospheres both in the cold months and during the summer.
It was also possible to combine the new furniture with some special elements that the owners looked for on their own or already had and wanted to place with care, such as the canvas in the living room and other accessories that they had acquired on some of their trips. A balance was also sought between the furniture low cost and the pieces of greater investment like the sideboard of the hall, adjusting to the budget without neglecting the style.
With a eclectic style combining duvet and rusticWe have no doubt that this apartment has managed to achieve its full potential. What do you think?
THAT’S HOW IT WAS BEFORE THE PROJECT
