Living in a penthouse must be a real luxury. Enjoying views and ample space above the city is certainly priceless. Today I want to talk to you about the terraces of the penthouses, of how taking advantage of that privacy ,that in a way is granted to the highest floors of a block, we can create magical and different corners.
The truth is that a penthouse terrace usually has so much light and so much space that the options will be endless. Today I have selected some that I particularly find very interesting. We especially love the rustic terraceswhere wood abounds.
We can start with the thematic terracesthose who try to recreate, as a rule, faraway places. For example, long ago it became very fashionable terraces with arabic touches. Yes, terraces that seemed to be taken from the thousand and one nights, which perfectly mixed materials such as wood, cane and forge, always combined with an excellent taste in textiles, with hundreds of colors, silk-based textures and many decorative objects of Moroccan style.
These are not the only themed penthouse terraces, as the fact is that oriental garden, o Zen gardenthey look pretty good, too.
At this point I’d like to point out a kind of decoration which I find most suggestive; and that is that lately I am seeing many terraces that use the aesthetics of the tents. Let us remember, for those who do not know, that tents are tents used by nomadic tribes to settle in the desert.
They are usually made with carpets and fabrics, and now, people have transferred this aesthetic to the terraces of their houses, creating places covered with fabrics that resemble these rustic tents.
Vegetation is always a good option; and if we don’t feel like making a big deal of buying furniture and decorating with objects, we can fill the terrace of an attic with exuberant plants is highly recommended.
On the one hand we will gain privacy, as it is difficult to see through a thick jungle. On the other hand, we’ll manage to create a cool place in our homeIdeal for summer evenings.
The use of old elements also imposes itself, as in the rest of our home, on the terraces. Penthouses usually have large terraces in which to add a number of these objects. We can redecorate our plot in the heights with old wrought iron tables surrounded by colorful plants or opt for colorful tiles, as in the old patios but based on a slightly more colorful style.
