New salon decorated by Vintage Hunter and Kenay for C2T

Estefanía, author of the blog Con Dos Tacones (C2T), has been fortunate to have the advice of Daniel García Calvete for the decoration of one of the most important spaces in any home. We present the salon decorated by Vintage Hunter and Kenay for this it girl so glamorous that I was looking for a perfect combination of luxury and modernity.

Transferring such a defined personality to the heart of the home is something that only a first-class professional could do. This salon decorated by Vintage Hunter features a air of modernity, vintage and current unrivalled thanks to the pieces selected from the Kenay decoration store, but also gives off an air of unique identity thanks to the exclusive pieces obtained in the Madrid flea market that integrate seamlessly into the environment.

The power of colour and light

Estefanía wanted to give birth to the living room of her home located on a 23rd floor in downtown Madrid. And it is that, although the space is not very wide, we do not have to give up to have a majestic living room with dining room and even chimney. The keys to this room decorated by Vintage Hunter are: light colors, few furniture and very well selected.

White walls, white curtains, practically no dark furniture and even… great white carpet! Undoubtedly, this room began as a white canvas in which to paint with the color of accessories and complements in golden and neutral tones in their great majority.

A small dining room in Nordic style

The table Cross and the four chairs Rass in various colors of Kenay compose this small dining room of Nordic style crowned by a chandelier and crystal lamp obtained in the Rastro de Madrid.

The painting Sweet Rose, also by Kenay, plays with the same neutral tones by adding an apex of pink quartz. Likewise, the complements that make up the centrepiece of a table are decorative and practical, providing colour, odour and ambience through the flowers, the candlestick and the candles, and finally, a touch of fundamental tendency with the figure of pineapple, essential in any current lounge!

Vintage Showcase

The showcase Nimes of Kenay with pickled finish that combines white with a neutral mint green tone is characterized by being made by hand, so each piece of furniture is unique. Its four shelves and glazed doors provide double functionality: storage and decoration.

A fireplace on a small floor

You want a fireplace? Don’t give her up no matter how small your living room is. As you can see, the decorative contribution of a fireplace can be irreplaceable, and even if you can’t install a real fireplace, nobody can stop you from making a decorative one with a plaster moulding like the one in the photograph.

If you’re still dying to have fire… opt for big candles! No doubt an original idea of this room decorated by Vintage Hunter and Kenay for Estefania.

What about that mirror? Well, nothing more and nothing less than a old restored mirror and obtained at the Rastro in Madrid. Don’t you think it’s wonderful?

The power of detail

Do you know how to get a coffee table for the living room that doesn’t take up space or give us the feeling of small space? The transparencies are the solution, and hence the use of the Lang Set Mesas Nido with its subtle and light elegance which also allows multiple positions to bring them closer to different sofas or armchairs.

An antique waitress in glass and gold, together with an old radio, can add a lot of character to a small corner of the living room.

The cushions and blankets can not miss to enjoy Sunday afternoons on the sofa. However, have a good place to store them while decorating, such as this wire basket in the photograph.

Flowers, mirrors, and of course, a deer’s head in ceramic or espartoare other elements that add character and modernity to a salon like this.

A lamp inspired by French perfumes, paintings with inspiring phrases and some personal details such as photographs in beautiful frames complete the decoration of this elegant salon with vintage touches.

And now, wishing that Daniel himself enters through my door to put a little order and sense to the decoration of my living room, I invite you to read a previous post about the decoration of the house of Sara Carbonero and Iker Casillas in Oporto, also with furniture and decoration of the firm Kenay.
