A kitchen semi-open to the living room

The owners of this apartment located in a town near Barcelona, went to the studio of designer Laura Martínez to carry out a reform that would unify the day area. The challenge was to integrate the entrance of the house, since it was the link between the kitchen and the living room, resulting in a more welcoming home.

To achieve this, a custom piece of furniture was designed that acts as a visual separator between the hall and the kitchen. On the one hand, we find a console, and on the other, a breakfast bar, both connected by this divider with panels.

In the kitchen, the pristine white contrasts with two natural wood cabinet doors and the parquet flooring.

The integration of appliances into the furniture also helps to visually create a clean and continuous space.

In addition to providing a more informal air to the area, the room divider at the entrance helps to respect the tranquility of the living room in the family’s day-to-day life.

On the other hand, it has been chosen to keep the laundry area, but leaving it semi-open to the kitchen and integrating it with the same custom furniture.

It is in the dining area where the Nordic style shines For the fourth corners. Here, the classic white Eames Plastic Chair chairs have been combined with a table and a bench with a wooden top and a metal structure.

Warm tones and natural materials dominate the living room like the jute of the carpet or the rattan of some decorative pieces. Nesting tables at different heights, natural plants and the square pouf complete the room.
